Who is the ideal candidate?
This program is for anyone who wants to transform how they live, work and lead. You might be a parent who wants to find more resilience, an executive wanting to build a more compassionate culture – or someone who simply wants to enjoy life more fully. In previous programs, we’ve had participation from coaches, executives, entrepreneurs, managers, parents, public servants, artists, designers, educators and health care workers.
All participants are required to go through a rigorous application process to ensure they are the right fit for the program. Simply click on the APPLY NOW button at www.SiyEngage.com.au to complete your application. Once we receive your application, we’ll review it and get back to you within 2 weeks. If we feel we need a little more information about someone, we may set up a brief video interview.
When is the application deadline?
The application deadline is 12 June, 2017. However there are only 70 tickets available, so don’t wait too long to submit your application. Once the spots are gone, they’re gone.
Are there prerequisites for potential participants?
First and foremost, we look for people who are passionate about making a difference – whether this is in your personal life, leading an organisation, a small business, a team or a family. In addition, we are looking for a good mix of participants from different life stages, professions and walks of life.
Who is teaching the program?
Two of our Master Trainers will facilitate the live onsite retreats and host this transformative five-month experience. Marc Lesser is the CEO of the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute and Lori Schwanbeck is a Master Trainer who specialises in working with executives desiring to optimise personal and relational wellbeing. We also have an online faculty of 16 globally-recognised leaders in their fields. More information and biographies can be found on the website.
What does Engage include?
The Five-Month Engage Program includes:
- 2 five-day non-residential retreats
- 12 broadcasts and Q&A sessions with world-class teachers
- Cutting edge content and tools from experts in the fields of emotional intelligence, neuroscience, and mindfulness.
- Bi-weekly virtual meetings with your pod
- A private and confidential network
- Ongoing alumni webinars, feedback and support
What is the investment and what does it cover?
This is the first time Engage has been offered outside the U.S. Until now, to participate in the program, Australians were required to travel to the US for each retreat and pay approx AU$9,000 to participate in the program. We are therefore thrilled to offer Australians the opportunity to participate at a significantly lower cost and without the overseas travel. The entire five-month program is being offered at two discounted price points: Early Bird: AU$5,900 +gst (limited to the first 35 participants) Standard Price: AU$6,500 +gst The program price covers tuition, materials and access to all online resources and community. For in-person retreats, it covers lunch and snacks. It does not include dinners, transportation or lodging.
Will you offer a discount off the price?
The Early Bird discounted price is limited to the first 35 people to be admitted.
Where will the 2 x five-day in-person retreats take place?
The 2 x five-day in-person retreats will take place minutes from the Sydney CBD in the heart of one of Australia’s most loved parklands.
Does Engage allow me to teach SIY or become a certified SIY teacher?
No. We no longer offer an SIY Teacher Certification program and Engage participants will not be certified to teach the Search Inside Yourself Program. Although you won’t be an official SIY teacher, Engage is designed to empower you to become a ‘Mindful Champion’ in your personal life, your organisation or community. This means, you will learn evidence-based tools to make the biggest possible impact in your personal and professional life. Our vision is to ignite a grassroots movement of well trained ‘Mindful Champions’ around the world.
In a word, no. Engage seeks to create a committed, intentional community. We don’t want to create a transient, “just checking it out” culture. If you’re more of a dabbler, rather than a committed doer, that’s fine, but Engage is not going to be a fit for either of us. And, we’d rather get that out of the way up front.
What will I receive and be able to do once I complete Engage?
Upon completing Engage, you will receive a Letter of Completion and be equipped to introduce mindfulness-based emotional intelligence practices into your personal life, workplace or community. You will also become part of a global community of Engage Alumni from around the globe – purpose driven executives, entrepreneurs and change agents who want to positively impact their personal lives, workplaces and communities. You will no longer be alone, but have the support to accelerate your growth. As an alumni member you will also have ongoing access to:
- A private Facebook group.
- Future Engage webinars and broadcasts at no cost.
- Ongoing resources and support from the Engage community.
If I’m accepted into this year’s program, can I defer my enrollment to a later year?
Unfortunately, we’re unable to provide deferments. If you’re accepted into this year’s program, but are unable to attend, we strongly encourage you to reapply for the program next year.
Can I attend part of the Engage program this year, and then attend the remainder of the program next year?
Unfortunately, we don’t allow participants to split their participation across years or programs in different locations. The program is designed to be a contiguous experience for 5 months. Jumping back into a session a year later, with completely different participants, creates too much discontinuity for the individual and is disruptive to other participants.
If accepted into the program, a 50% deposit is due immediately to secure your place. Full payment to be completed two months after your initial payment. Late registrants will be required to make full registration fee payment since it will be so close to the beginning of the program.
